David Braham CCTA

Treasury Manager, ElectraNet


David has extensive experience in the treasury and finance industry. He is currently the Treasury Manager of ElectraNet where he performs front office management duties including; managing a multi-billion debt capital markets portfolio and derivatives portfolio (interest rate and foreign exchange risk management); the Groups target capital structure and credit rating; liquidity and working capital; the treasury management system; Board, Treasury Committee and Executive Management reporting, as well as providing peer oversight and advice pertaining to corporate finance modelling, investment and valuations analysis. His role entails working with senior executives, sub-committees of the Board and senior management across multiple business divisions (finance, supplier relations, legal, regulatory and corporate development).

David is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia with the Business Valuation Specialisation (ICAA BVS), a graduate of the Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and is a Certified Finance and Treasury Professional (CFTP).

       

Lindesay Brine FCTA

Associate Dean Curriculum & Learning (Postgraduate), Macquarie Business School

Lindesay has worked in Banking & Financial Markets for more than 20 years at several banks in roles covering business and corporate banking, financial markets sales, learning and development and compliance and risk management. He has also used his experience in financial markets and banking to assist companies and financial services firms manage regulatory, financial markets and conduct requirements. In August 2018 he joined Macquarie University as Director Applied Finance Centre, managing the Macquarie Business School’s Master of Applied Finance and associated programs.Since 2010, Lindesay has been actively involved in the development of Australia’s G20 OTC Derivatives Regulation, The FX Global Code and benchmark reform. He is the current Chair of the Finance and Treasury Association Technical Committee. 

Mary Jane Carcasona CCTA

Investor Solutions Sales Associate, ING Bank

Mary-Jane is a banking and financial services professional and has experience across Financial Markets, FX, Fixed Income Securities, Money Markets and Treasury Operations. Mary-Jane is currently the Investor Solutions Sales Associate for ING Bank. She holds a Business and Commerce degree, including a Master of Business in Finance. And during her leisure time, she enjoys being connected with nature, the ocean and playing tennis.


Scott Cooper

Director Carbon Demand, CBA


Scott is an accomplished financial services professional with extensive risk management experience in the alternative investment sector and a proven career in financial markets spanning more than 18 years. Scott has worked in Sydney and New York, originating and structuring custom solutions to manage commodity, foreign exchange, and liquidity risks for financial sponsors and institutions. Scott is currently focused on environmental markets, assisting clients in transitioning their business models to a low-carbon economy and ensuring that their operations are future-ready. Scott worked for Ernst & Young before joining the Commonwealth Bank.

                 

Michael Larkin CCTA

Managing Director & CEO, Treasury Corporation of Australia


Michael joined the ACTA board in October 2022 as a non-executive director and has been a member of the ACTA for over 20 years.  He was recently appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Offic
er of Treasury Corporation of Victoria. Michael is a purpose driven senior executive with a collaborative leadership style, a track record of delivering results and demonstrated success leading high performing teams and driving transformational change.  He has over 30 years international experience across real estate, infrastructure, transport, construction materials and investment banking. Michael has a Bachelor of Economics and an MBA.

Amit Mehta CCTA

Chairman QLD Chapter, ACTA & Consultant, ADM Advisers


Amit is the Queensland Chair for the Australian Association of Corporate Treasurers. He currently advises companies in strategic change, risk management, cultural transformation and fund raising. He gained his Treasury qualifications from the Association of Corporate Treasurers in the UK, is a Chartered Accountant and has an MBA from IMD Business School in Switzerland. Amit has 30 years’ experience in financial services and Treasury, first as a Banker with RBS and NAB in London and then Head of Tata Capital, for Europe. At Tata he was responsible for funding during the Jaguar Land Rover acquisition amongst other transactions. He was responsible for Enterprise Risk Management, Pension risk, Government Relations and Investor Relations for certain entities.


Kurt Smith CCTA

Kurt is the Vice President and Technical Director of the Australian Corporate Treasury Association; and a Director of Marengo Capital, a corporate advisory company.  Kurt has over 25 years’ experience in creating and managing for value in banking, funds management, private equity, fintech, utilities and mining services.

Kurt is an innovative and creative leader who has changed Treasury, Insurance and Corporate Finance businesses from transactional cost centres to centres of strategic value-add, delivering over $550M in value-add in seven years. He develops and implements strategies for sourcing, structuring and allocating capital that supports the Board's corporate strategy, improves financial performance and increases long-term enterprise value.

Sean has 19 years’ experience in the CBA Loan Syndication team, responsible for all loan syndication origination across corporate, leveraged finance, project and structured finance, property and sustainability financing. Sean is also a former Australian Branch Chairman (2012-2015) of the APLMA.

 Dora Szasz White CCTA

    Treasury Manager - Consultant


Dora is an experienced treasury professional working across the resources and hospitality/entertainment sectors for ASX 200 and Fortune 500 companies. 

Most recently the Senior Treasury Manager for The Star Entertainment Group her responsibilities included operations, debt facility management, hedging and compliance. Dora has a Master of Commerce from the University of Queensland and is a member of CPA Australia.

Stephanie Tomsic CCTA

Group Treasurer, Mitsui Iron Ore Corporation


Stephanie has over 20 years’ experience in the mining industry. 

Her role requires her to align Group strategy with risk management solutions to achieve desired outcomes. 

Working with senior executives, sub-committees of the Board and senior management across multiple business divisions (finance, supplier relations, legal, regulatory and corporate development). 

Stephanie is a member of the Certified Practicing Accountants, Member of the Institute of Company Directors (MAICD) and is a Certified Corporate Treasury Australia (CCTA).

            

Paul Travers FCTA

Director, KPMG 


Paul has over 30 years’ experience in treasury, risk management and banking working from buy, sell and advisory perspectives. As a Director at KPMG, leading their Sydney Treasury Services team, he helps clients manage their key treasury risks and providing an ongoing treasury service.  He is also active in the industry through the Finance and Treasury Association as a past President, Board member and chair of the Technical and Congress committee and FINSIA as the chair of their Institutional Markets Industry Council.
