Event Policy:
By completing and submitting the Registration Form for ASLO24, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:
Conference Cancellation and Refund Policy by Attendee:
ASLO understands that circumstances can change. At any point prior to the Congress, you are welcome to contact us in writing to nominate a substitute delegate at no extra charge.
A full refund less a $110 service fee will be issued for cancellations received on or before Friday 31st May 2024. Registration cancellations received between Saturday 1st June 2024 and Thursday 4th July 2024 will receive a 50% refund on the registration fees. No refunds will be issued on or after Friday 5th July 2024. Non-payment does not constitute cancellation.
Payments:
Once registration is received, a confirmation email and tax invoice will be issued. Any accounts must be paid in full 7 days from the invoice date or 10 business days before the conference start date, whichever comes first. The organisers reserve the right, without notification, to cancel outstanding accounts anytime after 7 days from the date of the tax invoice being sent. If payment is not received prior to the conference, access will be granted only after full payment is made via credit card.
Privacy Policy:
By completing this registration form, you acknowledge the details supplied by you may be made available to ASLO, and any suppliers working on the event (for the purpose of your involvement).
Photography/Imagery:
By registering for the conference you are hereby giving KE Creative Events Pty Ltd permission to photograph you for use in our publications, website and other promotional material associated with the ASLO Congress. If you do not consent to your photograph/s being used, please contact KE Creative Events via email or call 03 9866 4111 prior to the conference.
Insurance
All conference participants are advised to procure their own insurance to cover all risks including (but not limited to) costs of travel, accommodation, conference fees, personal property, health and medical expenses, injury, death and all other risks. The conference, host organisation and organisers will not be held liable for any claims under any circumstances.
Force Majeure
ASLO shall not be liable for any loss caused by the cancellation of the conference where such cancellation is due to Force Majeure. The organisers will use all reasonable efforts to conduct the conference despite the intervention or occurrence of any such cause.
In this clause, Force Majeure means circumstances which are beyond the reasonable control of ASLO and which are reasonably likely to affect ASLO’s successful delivery of the Event or would make it inadvisable, impracticable, illegal, or impossible for a party to perform its obligations as originally contracted under this Agreement, including: fire, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, collapse of building structures, widespread disease or other public health emergency (including pandemic or epidemic), strike or other industrial action, the outbreak or declaration of war, act of terrorism, revolution or government orders or action (including the declaration of a State of Emergency).
If, as a result of Force Majeure, ASLO cancels the Event, ASLO shall use reasonable commercial endeavours to reschedule the Event.
If ASLO is unable to reschedule the Event in accordance, ASLO will issue you a non-transferable credit note for the amount of the Fee, which may be redeemed against any appropriate future ASLO event for a period of 12 months from the date of issue.
Without prejudice to its obligations, ASLO accepts no liability and will not be liable for any compensation where the performance of its obligations under this Agreement is affected by Force Majeure.
Postponement:
In the event of postponement by ASLO or the venue, all registrations will be carried over to the revised event dates.
Cancellation by ASLO
In the event of cancellation by the ASLO or the venue, all payments made to the Association will be fully refunded.
Covid-19 Implications:
Should your attendance at the event be impacted by any restrictions enforced by COVID-19 government regulations, ACTA will discuss available options on a case-by-case basis and come to a mutual agreement.
